Since 1938 Alta has offered a unique skiing tradition on a mountain with a wide variety of terrain and conditions. The resort is rated 25% beginner, 40% intermediate, and 35% advanced. Alta is a skiers mountain, snowboarding is not permitted.

Snowbasin Ski Area

Snowbasin is located 45 miles north of Salt Lake. The ski area has three lodges in addition to 12 lifts for nonstop skiing and other terrain parks. Snowbasin also provides summer lift access for hiking, mountain biking, and sightseeing and beautiful facilities for private parties.
